Douglas delivered DC-8s to Pan Am in 1960. DC-8s performance is similar to that of a B727-321 with slightly more speed and less range. Douglas version of the Boeing 707 though it was 37 feet longer. This was the last order of new planes from Douglas. Pan Am turned to Boeing for all future jets. |
